I just got back from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest; I am the last person on earth to see it, I know. I read some of the reviews prior to going, but tried to ignore them. I wanted to give the movie a fair shot. And to be fair, it had some good moments but too much of the time it felt like hollywood just wanted to grab more cash since they already had their hands in my pockets from the first Pirates movie. Here is my summary.
Pros:
Nothing like milking a franchise
Cons:
Bringing Caption Balboa from the dead
Actions scenes were long and drawn out giving an action movie the pace of a dull drama.
Revisited too much of the old movie, nothing felt new or exciting.
This movie is probably ok to watch, but only if you get it with a free code at Red Box. It is too gruesome for little kids though.

What do you expect from the movie industry? The Simpsons have once again showed the way the world is goiing? How many years of sub par writting has there been? Everything is going down the drain. There really hasn't been any real progress in movie making since The Matrix, which brought us the long pointless fight sequences for everyone. As I have suspected, there is no reason to ever go to a movie in the theaters, ever! There is no way that I'm going to shell out good hard earned cash for something that someone didn't even try on. Well all I have to say is Sucker, HA!

I must say that the Pirates can nowhere be as bad as Talladega Nights. Never ever under any circumstaces watch this movie. You'll walk away feeling dirty, used and really pissed off!

The movies the common man likes are always the trash.
